Tailored to orderAtelier Commission
Made to measure. Keratin, stick and nano tips encapsulated by hand; invisible tapes and taped wefts; hand-tied and genius weft; bespoke clip-ins and ponytails — each cut, weighted and finished to your brief. Tell us the length, the density and the method your stylist prefers. Where a piece does not yet exist, we source and tailor it.
Tailored to order - allow up to 30 days
This is a made-to-order commission. Allow up to 30 days from order to delivery.
Every piece in the Atelier is made to order. Nothing here is sitting on a shelf waiting to be sold — the hair is selected, drawn, finished and coloured for you once the order is placed. This is a pre-order. Allow up to 30 days from the point of order to delivery.
What you are commissioning
Single-donor Slavic hair, cut once and kept in the order it grew. You choose the length, the weight, the texture, how the hair is drawn, how it is finished for wear, and how it is coloured. We build it.
Because each commission is built individually, there is no catalogue to choose from and no compromise between the piece you want and the piece that happens to exist. There is also no shortcut — the 30-day window is the time the work honestly takes.
On weight
Every piece comes from one head of hair, which means we cannot conjure an exact figure to order the way a factory blending several donors can. Weights may vary slightly from the weight you select.
Where they do, we confirm the actual weight with you before any processing begins. Nothing is cut, drawn, encapsulated or coloured until you have agreed it. If the difference does not suit you, we will find another piece or refund you in full — but we will not start work and tell you afterwards.
Drawing affects this too. Removing the shorter strands removes weight, so a double drawn piece finishes lighter than the weight you order. The builder shows the approximate finished weight as you choose, and we confirm the real figure with the same call.
Drawing
Naturally drawn hair arrives as it was cut, with mixed lengths through the body and a tapering end. Single drawn has the shortest strands removed. Double drawn is done by hand, strand by strand, until the piece is close to a single length root to end — the reason it costs more, and the reason it takes time.
Finishing
Raw cut leaves the hair as bulk, tied at the root, for a stylist to work with as they prefer. Every other method is applied here before the piece is sent: keratin bonds in three sizes, stick and nano tips, invisible tapes, taped and hand-tied wefts, genius wefts, clip-ins and ponytails.
Encapsulation is the slowest part of any commission, and the main reason a piece takes the full 30 days rather than fewer.
Colour
Choose a solid base shade, a highlighted piece using two shades, or a multitonal piece using three. A root may be added to any of them. If you want a specific balance between shades, say so in the ratio box and it will be mixed to your brief rather than ours.
Colour work is done in-house on hair that has never been chemically altered before it reaches us, which is why it behaves predictably and holds tone.
Timing, plainly
Up to 30 days from order to delivery. Most commissions are ready sooner, and you will hear from the atelier as the piece progresses. Complex colour and hand-tied work sit at the longer end.
If you need a piece for a particular date, write it in the notes. We will tell you honestly whether it can be done rather than accept the order and hope.
Before you order
Commissions are made to your specification and cannot be resold, so they are not returnable once work has begun. Work does not begin until the weight and the brief are confirmed with you, so there is a point at which you can still change your mind — and we will always give you that point.
If you are unsure about shade, length or method, ask before ordering. A short conversation costs nothing, and we would rather have it now than after the hair is cut.
